Ricardo P. Bazan, 81

Ricardo P. Bazan, 81, of Allegan passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at Wings Home.  
Mr. Bazan was born July 17, 1935, in Alice, Texas, the son of Jose and Maria (Puente) Bazan. He was a veteran of the United States Army.  
Ricardo worked for more than 15 years at National Motors in South Haven and more than 11 years at Parker-Hannifin Brass Division in Otsego.  
Spending time outdoors and fishing were two of Ricardo's favorite pastimes. He loved his children and grandchildren and was truly a kind-hearted, gentle soul.  
Ricardo is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice (Bea) Bazan; his four children, Ricardo and Tina Bazan, Arnoldo Bazan, Nancy Stamm and Tony Rasmussen; six grandchildren, Rose, Aly, Mikayla, Angela, David and Daniel; his brother, Rolando and Niada Bazan; three sisters, Elida and Ricardo Escobar, Maria Schultz and Elia and Francisco Jurado; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  
He was preceded in death by his five brothers, Tony, Jose Jr., Roque, Robert and Rene.
Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Gorden Funeral Residence, where the funeral service will be on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m., Pastor Greg Carlson officiating. Interment will be at Brookside Cemetery, Heath Township.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ricardo's name to Wings Home, 330 Linn St., Allegan, MI 49010.  Interment at Brookside Cemetery, Heath Twp.
