Beatrice B. (Hitchcock) Worden, 94

Beatrice B. (Hitchcock) Worden, 94, of Allegan passed away Friday, April 26, 2019, at Wings Home with her family by her side.

Born March 7, 1925, in Allegan, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. Hitchcock and Edna B. (Wilson) Hitchcock and the widow of the late Ralph L. Worden.

Bea graduated from Allegan High School in 1942, and was a member of First Baptist Church. She worked hard to take care of her family and tend to the farm alongside her husband and children. She was a dedicated, loving and proud wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Bea enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by those she loved.

Bea is survived by her children, Marsha (Tim) Reich, Sandy (Arch) Woodstock and Stan Worden; her grandchildren, Joe (Chris) Reich, Shelly Eck, Sharon Weems, Jay (Jen) Woodstock, Amy (Mark) Huysken, Brian (Heather) Woodstock, Natalie (Todd) Elyea, Andrea Demory and Ashley (Eric) Laufer; 30 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her brother and his wife, Wilson C. and Helen Hitchcock.

The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Tuesday, May 7, from 11a.m. to 12 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at 12 p.m. with Fred Perry officiating. A luncheon is planned at First Baptist Church after the celebration.
