Jeff Ainsworth, 58, of Allegan died on Sunday, April 21, 2019, after 30 years of courageously battling heart disease.
He was born on May 10, 1960, to James and Mary Ainsworth and has lived in Allegan for most of his life.
On Oct. 29, 1983, he married Nannette “Nan” Peet and together they enjoyed a wonderful marriage full of laughter, love and many good times.
Jeff worked for many years for Brenner Oil Company, where he enjoyed taking care of his customers and making many friends.
He was a huge University of Michigan fan, as well as a NASCAR fan but his wife, children and grandchildren always were his first priority.
Jeff has been cremated and an open house to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, April 28, from 12 noon until 4 p.m. at the The Silo Banquet Hall, 1071 M-40 South, Allegan, MI. Burial of his cremated remains will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Allegan.
Members of his family include his wife Nan; two children, Brooke (Dominique) Ware and Aaron (Kelsey Dragan); four grandchildren, Drew, Riley, Johnathon and Isaiah; three siblings, Deb (Dean) Salik Wintjen, Sue (Brian) Robinson and Ted (Sarah) Ainsworth; his mother Mary (Bob) Fulton; mother-in-law Blanche Wilkinson; two step-siblings, Jackie (Matt) Mckeon and Jim Fulton; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark (Jayne) Peet, Jane (Bill) Oestrich and Pam Peet (Mike Hakenjos); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father James Ainsworth, father-in-law George Peet, and brother-in-law Dave Salik.
