Patrick Alan Therrien, 59, of Fennville passed away on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on Feb. 2, 1960, at Fort Sam Houston Military Base in San Antonio, Texas, and lived in several states, including New York, Texas, California, and Maine, before finally settled along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Fennville.
Patrick served in the United States Navy, assigned to the U.S.S. Downes and was a plank owner on the U.S.S. John L. Hall. Following his time in the service of his country, Patrick worked at numerous marinas in West Michigan.
He was an avid reader, a Jeopardy fan, but he mostly enjoyed playing golf with his dear friend Dr. William “Doc” Steigerwald each summer.
Left to remember his dry wit, big heart, and knowing smile are his sisters, Mary Ellen (Rebecca London) Banghart Therrien and Kathleen (Thomas) Mallory; his brother Michael (Debra) Therrien; a nephew Quinn; nieces, Jessica and Ashley; grandniece Savanna; grandnephew Gabriel; and friends.
As per his request, Patrick will have a burial at sea with Military Honors.
A Celebration of Life service will be for family and friends this summer in Saugatuck, at a date to be determined.
