Clara Blain, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on Sunday June 17, 2018.
Clara truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; time with family and friends, quilting, her lifetime membership to the VFW Auxiliary and as a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Clara had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way; she was a comforting listener and good friend to all.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband Armond “Army” Blain.
She is survived by her daughter Mary (Roger) Arndt; son Bert (Sally) Blain; grandchildren, Tony (Ronna) Arndt, Jay (Teresa) Arndt, Jason (Sharon) Blain and Jennifer (Matt) Frank; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-granddaughters; a sister Donna Smith; and neighboring friends who were family to her.
Clara had a huge heart for people and will be dearly missed.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Clara touched are invited to Gorden Funeral Residence in Hopkins on Wednesday, June 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be the following day, Thursday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Holland or to the Hopkins Lions Club. Assisting the family with arrangements is Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, www.gordenfuneral.com.
