Janice (Jan) Ruth Stephens, 69, of Allegan and Oklahoma City, suddenly passed away June 14, 2016, due to an aneurysm and then a stroke at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo where she was surrounded by family and friends. She was born Feb. 4, 1947, in Kalamazoo.
She is survived by husband Bob Stephens of Allegan and Oklahoma City, Okla., whom she married Nov. 23, 2001; children, Todd (Jennifer) Housel of Oklahoma City and Josh (Lorrain) Stephens of Plainwell; granddaughters, Amelia Housel of Oklahoma City and Carissa Stephens of Plainwell; her furry little babies, Maggie and Snoopy; brothers, Fran (Sharon) Dunham and Gary (Candi) Dunham; many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends; and special friends, Carol and Roger Brock of Otsego.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vaughn A. and Elgie (May) Dunham; grandparents, Oscar and Ruth Burger and Clinton and Charlotte "Lottie" (Brown) Dunham; sister Kay Greene; and brother Ronald Meninga.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place with no memorial service in accordance with her wishes.
Jan was a strong supporter and survivor of breast cancer and the family would appreciate that in lieu of flowers, donations being made in her honor to www.KomenCentralWesternOK.org.
