Reva C. Garlock was called home by her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 30, 2017 after living almost 99 years here on earth.
She was born April 23, 1918, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Ora and Alice (Ketchum) Porter. She married her true love, Colburn, and together they raised four children. While raising her family, she also worked at Allegan General Hospital for over 36 years. She was a kind, caring and genuine woman that was truly devoted to her God and her family.
Reva is survived by her children: Rojean Garlock, Linda and Michael Edgar, Thomas and Cheryl Garlock, Frank and Jackie Garlock; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Doris Porter.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Colburn; one daughter-in-law, Kay Garlock; two brothers, Leonard and Robert Porter; and one sister, Alice Cronberg.
Friends may meet with the family on Monday, April 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, Thomas Garlock officiating.
Memorial donations may be made in Reva’s name to the First Baptist Church Missionary Board (1290 32nd St., Allegan, MI 49010).
Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. The Gorden Funeral Residence (www.gordenfuneral.com) assisted the family with arrangements.
