Fae Ann Wightman, 73, of Fennville passed away, March 27, 2017, at Holland Hospital. She was born Sept. 11, 1943, in Zeeland, the daughter of Andrew and Janet (Wiersma) Christensen.
Fae married her husband of 54 years, Phil Wightman on Jan 18, 1963. She was a homemaker and school supporter while raising her children and later worked at the Surrey and aboard the Star of Saugatuck.
She was a member of Women Who Care, Camp Fire leader and a charter member of the Douglas Community Church. Fae was also active in many groups and charities in Fennville, Saugatuck, and Douglas.
Cherishing memories of her are her husband Phil Wightman; daughters, Rondi Wightman and Greg Stinson of Porter, Ind., Jodi and Loren Curtis of Bay City and Wendi Wightman and Brian Newton of Buffalo, N.Y.; granddaughter Sierra Newton of Pepin, Wis.; sisters; Carole Schreckengust, Jan and Rick VanKley and Cindi and Glenn Nykamp; sisters-in law, Diane Christensen, Carolyn Gilman and Doris and George Peltier; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Fae's life will be Saturday, April 8, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Laketown Golf & Conference Center, Saugatuck.
