Patrick P. Knapp, 66, of Pullman, passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, at his home. Born Dec. 9, 1950, in South Haven, he was the son of Paul and Lillian (Scott) Knapp.
Pat owned and operated Pat's Excavating in Pullman starting in 1973. He was a member of the Dutcher Lodge #193 F.& A.M. of Fennville, the V.F.W., the AMVETS, and the American Legion.
Pat enjoyed spending time at the pond with his grandchildren and his dogs, also camping and playing pool.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Brenda Knapp.
Surviving are his wife Patricia; sons, Patrick II and Lora Knapp and Paul and Jennifer Knapp; daughter Alicia Hutchins; grandchildren, Patrick Knapp III, Tyler Knapp and Addison Knapp; and one sister Peggy Shamblin.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. and funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m. at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., Fennville, with Pastor Charles Hoots officiating. Burial will be at Lee Cemetery in Pullman.
