Sandra Lee Fales, 75, of Allegan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Fales was born Jan. 10, 1941, in Trowbridge Township, the daughter of the late Jay and Jessie (Borst) Noble.
Sandy was an Allegan High School Class of 1958 graduate and a member of Christ Community Church. She worked for many years at Hoffman Paper Products, which later became Corrugated Specialties.
Sandy knew her way around a kitchen and put her talent to use working in the deli at Town and Country grocery store; and most recently spent over 15 years working in the deli at Wal-Mart. She was a wonderful cook and everyone enjoyed it when they were able to sample one of her great meals. No one ever left the table hungry.
Spending time in her vegetable garden was a favorite pastime of hers. She was known for growing and sharing her well-tendered vegetables. But nothing could beat her expertise at being the best mother and grandmother. Her caring and nurturing spirit made each family member feel like they were her favorite.
Sandra is survived by her four children, Bob and Debbie Fales, Ken and Patty Fales, Jim Fales and Rinda Jordan; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Ken and Kathy Noble; her sister, Robin and Henry Mannon; and her sister-in-law, Martha Noble.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tiny Fales; granddaughter Amy; brother Bob Noble; and two sisters, Helen Aldrich and Erma Moored.
A memorial service will be Monday, Dec. 26, at 10 a.m. at Christ Community Church in Allegan, Pastors Wally Coots and G. Patrick White co-officiating. Interment will be at Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Township.
Memorial donations may be made in Sandy's name to Wings of Hope Hospice and the Food Pantry at Christ Community Church.
Arrangements are being provided by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, www.gordenfuneral.com.
