Melanie K. Ripley, 76, of Allegan passed away on Dec. 7, 2016, at her home. She was born on Aug. 21, 1940, to Russell and Edna (Briggs) Lewis.
Following her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration is being planned for the spring.
Melaine's family includes her husband of 27 years, Dave; her children, Cindy (Keith) Middlebush, Melinda (Jeff) King, Jesse (Brenda) Riva; her brothers, Alpha Lewis and Bill Lewis; her mother-in-law Gladys Ripley; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Johnny Lewis and Gladeon Lewis.
Melanie was a nurse's aid at Allegan County Medical Care Facility. She loved deer hunting, fishing and her dogs.
