Betty Lindsley, 83

Betty Lindsley, 83, of Allegan passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Lindsley was born May 26, 1932, in Allegan, the daughter of the late Carl and Catherine (Coffey) Wilkes. She graduated from Allegan High School in 1949, and was married to Doyle F. Lindsley in 1952.
Betty spent her early years as a seamstress into the 1970s, and then in the mid 70s went to work for Delano Service in Allegan. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Allegan.
Betty loved making knitted hats, scarves and blankets for her family and friends. She also enjoyed getting time to read and losing herself in a good book, playing bingo and gardening.   
Betty's love for her children, grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews went deep!  
Betty is survived by her children, Thomas and Cynthia Lindsley of Allegan, John and Jennifer Lindsley of Plano, Texas, and Anne Lindsley of Ludington; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sally Beckers of Allegan and Vera Quinn of Oklahoma City, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle F. Lindsley in 2014; brothers, Fred and Chuck Wilkes; and sisters, Roberta Krouse, Marion Goodwill and Cora-Lorraine Wilkes.
There are two organizations that need to be thanked for the love and care they gave to Betty; Briarwood Assisted Living in Allegan and Wings of Hope Hospice of Allegan.  They were both outstanding in the care, love and compassion they provided.
Memorial donations may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn St., Allegan, MI 49010.
Private interment took place at Blackman Cemetery, Trowbridge Township.
