Andrew Owen, 78, of Mattawan, passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020, at his home. He was born June 2, 1942, in Kalamazoo, the son of Andrew Owen, Sr., and Lena (Britten) Owen.
Andrew served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He took great pride in his home, yard and garden. He loved to bake and was an avid and loyal bingo player, all around the local area. He enjoyed traveling and enjoyed trips every few years to Hawaii, where he would meet his service buddies. In addition,he also enjoyed traveling to Canada to visit family.
He is survived by his three sisters, Barbara Owen, Shirley (Bill) Myers, and Sandy (Virgil) Cole, along with many nieces and nephews.
Andrew was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene VanOcker, and his brother, Paul Owen.
The family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. Andrew will be laid to rest with military honors Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI.
