Audrey Marie Evans, 82, of Gobles, passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020, at her home. She was born March 18, 1938, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Howard and Flossie (Osborn) Hendrickson.
Audrey previously was employed with The UpJohn Co., before she started to raise their family. She loved to read, especially cookbooks. Over the years, she took pride in baking and cooking. She also enjoyed listening to music and keeping active on Facebook, locating old friends. Audrey had a strong faith in the Lord, and most recently, was attending church on TV, as she was not able to get out as much. She always took time to help others and go without so others could have what they needed. She would pray for all and faithfully kept in touch with family, friends and neighbors over the phone. Audrey was a strong supporter of President Trump.
Audrey is survived by her husband, David Evans; two daughters, Pat (Bill) Webb and Cathy Healy; three sons, Steve Evans, Jim (Cindy) Evans, and Mark (Tina) Evans; daughter-in-law, Wendy Evans; brother, Virgil Hendrickson; along with 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Audrey was preceded in death by her son, Mike Evans; and her brother, John Hendrickson.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a public memorial gathering announced in Spring 2021.
