After retiring from AMR, he and his wife moved to Granville, Tennessee, where he became a member of Life Church, serving on the jail ministry team in Jackson County.  Tom loved to serve others and even in retirement joined the Nameless and Granville Fire Departments and was instrumental in starting the medical first responders.  Most of all he loved his family and friends.
