Harriet "Louise" Deppe, 77, formerly of Allegan died on Sept. 30, 2016, in Ellenton, Fla., surrounded by her family.
Louise was born Jan. 25, 1939, in Plainwell, the daughter of Arthur and Susan Varneau. She retired from the Allegan County Sheriff's Department in 1987.
Louise enjoyed life to the fullest and cherished time with friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Surviving family members include five children, Benard (Sue) White of Allegan, Catherine Starr of St. Petersburg, Fla., Paula Wiese of Lansing, Roy Hoffman of Ellenton, Fla., and Marian (Scott) Mengel of Alamo; a brother Lee Varneau; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one nephew; and her beloved dog Daisy.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald; her parents; and daughter Susan Vork.
Private family services will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hospice at 500 Linn Street, Allegan, MI 49010.
