Jimmie Ray Conley, 87

Jimmie Ray Conley, 87, born Jan. 27, 1933, in Staffordsville, Ky, passed away on June 27, 2020, peacefully at Wings Home, Allegan.

Jimmie enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, snowmobiling, grooming the snowmobile trails, Kentucky family reunions, casino-hopping, woodworking, and traveling. He was one of the founding members of the Allegan County Snowmobile Club.

During his lifetime, Jimmie worked for the Allegan Public School system as a bus driver and a mechanic. He later was the owner of Conley’s Garage and Conley’s Towing for over 30 years.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 68 years Wanda (Thompson) Conley, brother Bobbie Jo Conley and sister Helen (Chuck) Setter; children Sharon (Michael) Peters, Roger (Karin) Conley, Diane (Philip) Pickin, Nancy (Steve) Remington, and Kelly (Judy) Conley; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents W.E. Conley and Shirley (Burke) Conley; and his sisters, Billie (Paul) Jensen, Ann (Steve) Wright, and Nancy (Tom) Locatis.

Pursuant to Jimmie’s wishes, cremation has taken place, with no services planned at this time. There will be a private celebration of life gathering later this summer.
