On Friday, May 22, 2020, Rani Lee (Yennelli) Johnson, 71, of Allegan passed away peacefully at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1948, to Samuel and Barbara Yennelli in Allegan.
Rani graduated with honors from Allegan High School in 1966 and attended both Ferris State University and Western Michigan University.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Hahn, and is survived by her son, Dominick Johnson and granddaughter Rachel Lee Johnson.
My Mom was an avid reader and known for her boisterous laugh and zany sense of humor.
As a lifelong resident of Allegan, over the years, many people in the community helped my Mom with all sorts of different things; our family deeply appreciates everything all of you did. Specifically, I would like to thank Lori Mills and Beverly Kluzak for their years of great care and true kindness—my Mother loved you both, thank you for bringing her peace.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial of ashes will take place at Hudson Corners Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Rani may be made to Allegan County Medical Care Community. Messages of condolence may be posted at www.WinkelFuneralHome.com.
