Robert H. Angle, 84, of Allegan passed away Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, at White Oaks Assisted Living in Lawton. Mr. Angle was born in Fanwood, New Jersey on March 24, 1932, the son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Willis) Angle.
Bob completed high school and went on to earn his master's degree from Michigan State University where he proved he was not only an academic scholar, but also a gifted baseball player, playing on the Spartans baseball team.
After college, he accepted a position with Allegan Public Schools and taught high school biology for more than 31 years. There he was known as "Biology Bob"-a man with a great sense of humor but with little to no filter. Bob also coached AHS baseball for 20 years.
He was a man of great integrity and compassion, a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather, as well as a true friend. Spending time at his cabin and fishing for trout on the East Branch of the Fox River were two of his great pastimes.
Bob is survived by his children, Bob and Marcia Angle, Steve and Misty Angle, and Patty and Brad Parliament; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law Sue Angle; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta "Bobbi" and brother Raymond Angle.
Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the memorial service will be on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m., Pastor Adam Potgezier officiating.
Memorial donations in Bob's name may be made to the Allegan Foundation-Allegan Tiger Athletic Scholarship. Interment will be at Schoolcraft Cemetery.
Arrangements are being provided by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, www.gordenfuneral.com.
