Norman Wayne Bellenger, 83

Norman Wayne Bellenger, passed away early Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, at the Allegan County Medical Care Community in Allegan.

Born April 15, 1936, in Fennville, Norman was the son of the late Arthur and Susie (Dailey) Bellenger.

He served proudly in the U.S. Army in the Armored Division. He was involved actively with the VFW and served on the board, continuing to show his love for his countrymen.

Norman retired from General Motors after 21 years of service. Before, during and after retirement, Norman enjoyed watching NASCAR and was involved in the local stock car racing. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. In his younger days, he loved talking and catching up with people he knew.

The love he had for his children proved what a wonderful family man he was and how much they meant to him. He was a blessing to them, and their lives were better for having him as their father.

Norman leaves behind his three children, Norman Jr. (Rusty) and Tracy Bellenger, Douglas Bellenger and Susan and Darrell Hinz; his three siblings, Ron Bellenger, Arlene Sergeant and Kathy Hoffman; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be at the Chappell Funeral Home, 637 Main St., Fennville, on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at noon, Pastor Marcia Tucker officiating. Inurnment will take place at Fennville Cemetery. Chappell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
