Lloyd Lucas, formerly of Allegan, passed Jan. 23, 2020, in Indianapolis after a lengthy illness.
Lloyd was born Jan. 3, 1955, on the Great Lakes Naval Base in suburban Chicago. He was 65 years old when he passed.
Affectionately known as Pippie, Lloyd attended Allegan Jr. High and AHS, where he played and excelled in football and baseball before attending and graduating at Scott High School in Toledo, after which he attended Toledo University.
Lloyd loved to travel. He lived both on the East Coast and West Coast but always considered Allegan his home.
Lloyd loved sports, especially baseball. Lloyd loved his coffee. Lloyd loved his family. Lloyd loved life.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Stephen and Joyce Lucas.
He is survived by his siblings, Linus (Sue) Lucas and their daughter Leora; Stephen Lucas; and Sharron (Mack) Simpson and their daughters Londy, Dee, Sarah, Christina. He is also survived by 10 great-nieces and -nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
Even as we hold onto fond memories, and as we await the realization of John 5:28, Pippie will surely be missed.
