Charlotte Ann Tange, 84

Charlotte Ann Tange, 84, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, in Allegan.

Charlotte was born in Lansing to the late Fred and Ruth (Tillotson) Sears on June 16, 1935.

Charlotte was widely known for her love of animals—she loved her cats—birds and especially for her flower garden. She had even been on the Garden Tour. She was an accomplished seamstress and had made many Halloween costumes for her grandchildren.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, William Tange; her daughters, Jennifer (Franklin) Brown and husband Larry, Lucie (Franklin) Johnson and husband Paul, and Robin (Forbes) Ash and husband Ken; her grandchildren, Aaron Brown, Jamie (Brown) Wine and husband Eric, and Chelsea Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Ella, Joslyn, Jaiden, Colton and Brooklyn; her sister, Evelyn (Don) Ayers-Marsh of Syracuse, N.Y.; William’s children, John Tange and wife Jeannie and Janet Burgoyne and husband Dave; her daughter-in-law Laurie (Rininger) Tange; and their children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Harold Franklin III; her sister, Carolyn (Sears) Forrest; and her stepson, Jay Tange.

Per her wishes, there will be no formal services. Cremation has taken place and inurnment of the cremains will be at Lindsley Cemetery in Cheshire Township.

Memorial donations may be made to Wings Home, 520 Linn St., Allegan, MI 49010.

Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
