Doug K. VanOmmen, 55 of Allegan passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at his home. Doug was born Jan. 24, 1961, in Plainwell, the son of the late Donald and Henrietta VanOmmen and had lived in the Allegan area the past 18 years.
Doug was a great man with a big heart. He loved woodworking and his hobby farm.
Surviving are his wife Jessica, whom he married Feb, 20, 2005; four daughters, Jennifer VanOmmen, Stephanie Scholten, Wendy Delong and Mindy Cranfield; six grandchildren, Tessa, Anna, Laila, Hunter, Breann and Korbyn; and three sisters, Jan, Cathy and Leann.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be at a later date.
