Woodrow Wilson Windischman, Jr.

Woodrow Wilson Windischman, Jr., 79, passed away at 6:04 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at AdventHealth Hospital in Ocala, Fla.

His passing was attended by his wife, Linda, and eldest son, Woodrow Wilson III. Known to friends and family as Woody or Wood, he was a long-time snowbird, alternating between homes in Michigan and Florida.

Woody had a long and varied career in the automobile industry, finally providing quality control consulting for both automobile manufacturers and their suppliers. He was known as a life-long “Picker” and connoisseur of antiques and collectables. He maintained a passion for nature and ensured that birds and other wildlife would always be welcome on his property by establishing shelters, feeding stations, and other features. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time painting.

Woodrow was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Woodrow Wilson Sr., his brother Donald and daughter Jennifer. In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by his first wife, Diane; his sister Mary Ann, and brother Anthony; his children: Woodrow III, Robin, Erik, Judith, Mary, Patrick and Michelle; his stepchildren: Elisebeth, John, Paul and Diane; as well as 20 grandchildren and four great grandchildren

A memorial and celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 3 p.m. at the Trowbridge Township Hall, in Allegan.
