Joyce Cook Russell, 64, of Allegan passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
Born April 8, 1954, in Manistique, she was the daughter of the late James and Barbara (Smith) Cook.
On July 13, 1977, she married Ronald G. Russell and they enjoyed 33 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2010. Mrs. Russell had worked for over 25 years as a caseworker for Allegan County.
She is survived by stepchildren, Ronda (Brian) Hall and Jerry Russell; brothers, James (Elizabeth) Cook and Joel (Christie) Cook; three step-grandchildren; three nieces and five nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by a sister Joan Tola.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 110 N. Cedar St, Allegan. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Rowe Cemetery, Cheshire Township.
