Alberta “Peggy” C. Leech, 90, died March 4, 2019. Born Jan. 16, 1929, Peggy was the 12th child of Newton and Minnie Carlise of Parma, Mo.
She married James A. Leech on Dec. 20, 1948, and was married for 54 years before Jim’s death in 2004. They owned Blueberry Pine Farm Inc. in Allegan for many years.
Peggy is survived by three daughters, Deborah E. Leech, Dorothy J. Leech and Sarah A. Leech-Lemley (Jeff Lemley); grandchildren, Mallory Harper and Elliot Lemley; and great-grandson Blake Harper.
Peggy was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Allegan. She was employed by the Allegan County Road Commission and Milbocker and Son Construction Co. as a secretary.
Peggy has been cremated and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
