Russell Cronberg, 100, of Cheshire Township, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at Resthaven Care Center in Holland.
Mr. Cronberg was born June 11, 1916, in Chicago, Ill., the son of the late Fred G. and Esther (Fors) Cronberg. He worked for Bohn Aluminum for more than 30 years in South Haven while raising a family with his late wife Alice.
Russell was a dedicated husband and father. He loved animals, music, chocolate and going for walks.
Surviving are his four children, Candis and Leland Greek, Cindy and Ed Reimink, Fred and Ruth Cronberg and John and Karen Cronberg: five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alice; one brother Al Cronberg; one sister Evelyn Carlson; and one grandson Tim.
Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, Aug. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 26, at 11 a.m., Pastor Daniel Barkholz officiating.
Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan.
