Leonard Jay Beltman, 80, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, quietly at his home surrounded by his family following a difficult battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Mr. Beltman served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963.
He is survived by his wife Marcia of almost 60 years; two sons, Scott (Trina) Beltman and Robin (Gayla) Beltman; four grandchildren, Lance, Marc (fiancé Ebony Haynes), Lisa and Bradley Beltman; brother-in-law Loren (Mary) VerBurg; niece Laura (Mark) Anderson; two nephews, Steven (Yvonne) VerBurg and Lewis (Cathy) VerBurg; one aunt, Emma Barkel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Les and Barb Lampen, Bob and Carol Lampen, Rick and Vicky Lampen; and several cousins.
Mr. Belman was preceded in death by his parents, Gerrit and Janet Beltman; and sister, Amy VerBurg.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Poplar Hill Cemetery.
