Raymond Edward Burza Jr. passed away unexpectedly at the age of 62 on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018. Ray was born in Paw Paw on Feb. 12, 1956, to Raymond and Shirley (Hoger) Burza, Sr.
Along with his parents, Ray is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cristy (Sprague) Burza; three sons, Matthew (Carrie) Burza, Christopher Burza and Ryan (Bobbi) Burza; grandson Logan; siblings, Julie (Chet) Boothby, Chuck Burza and Cheryl (Rick) Kroeg; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Ray graduated in 1974 from Gobles High School. He was involved in band, drama and many math and science classes. He later graduated from KVCC as a Respiratory Therapist and worked at Bronson, Allegan, Borgess and Select Specialty Hospitals. He was retired at the time of his death.
Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, from 10 to 11 a.m. at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m., Rev. Fr. Simon Manjooran officiating. Inurnment will be at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Ray’s name to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 110 N. Cedar St., Allegan, MI 49010.
