Alexander R. Priemer, 35, of Saugatuck died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, from complications of a longtime illness.
Born in Park Ridge, Ill., Alex graduated from Elk Grove High School in 2005. Following high school, he received his bachelor degree in biology from Northeastern Illinois University.
Alex had been a resident of Saugatuck for the past eight years, where he pursued his passions of animals, nature, and, above all, for art.
He is survived by his parents, Roland and Elizabeth Priemer of Des Plaines, Ill.; brothers, David and Daniel, both of Des Plaines; half sister Cecily Bryant of Dallas, Texas; grandmother Krystyna Kasprow, also of Des Plaines; many loving friends; and his dog Lily.
A memorial visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Saugatuck Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 520 Lake St., Saugatuck, with wake prayers at 7:30 p.m.
