The Lord took Helen J. Timmerman to Himself on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at the age of 85.
She was preceded in death by her son, Philip Timmerman as well as her parents and father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Timmerman.
Helen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in Zutphen to Dick and Gertie Vander Kolk. She was a member of Zion Chapel. She was a homemaker, an excellent helpmate as a pastor’s wife, and helped her family start Fillmore Equipment.
Helen is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bernie Timmerman; children, Pat Timmerman of Holland, Dave and Wendy Timmerman of Zeeland, Ken and Diana Timmerman of Holland, Lori and John Schipper of Martin; grandchildren, Mitch and Sarah Timmerman, Ross and Jen Timmerman, Mark and Anna Timmerman, Nate and Sherri Wind, Ben Timmerman, Brad Timmerman, Mike Timmerman, Derek Timmerman, Scott and Michelle Timmerman and Sara Schipper; great-grandchildren, Zach, Levi, Jake and Caleb Timmerman, Nora and Grant Timmerman; sister, Esther and Paul Brower; and in-laws, Neal and Marilyn DeHaan.
Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 8, at 1 p.m. at Graafschap Christian Reformed Church, 5973 Church St., Holland, with Pastor Dale Dykema officiating. Burial will be in Overisel Cemetery.
