Donald James Sewers, 74, of Saugatuck passed away Nov. 29, 2017, at Grace of Douglas.
Don served in the U.S. Army in Germany and Vietnam where he was a surveyor setting up Cam Ranh Bay. His career was with the Michigan Highway Department as a surveyor until his retirement in 1999.
Don enjoyed travel with the Nomads travel group. Don never met a new restaurant that he didn’t want to “check out.” He was always on the go meeting new people and visiting new places.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Alice Sewers.
Don is survived by his brother, Dick (Cherry) Sewers; sisters, Bonnie (Terry) Kozanecki and Betty Rasmussen; along with many nieces and nephews.
