Sharon Anne Vaughn, 74, of Allegan passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at Allegan County Medical Care Community. Born Oct. 25, 1943, in Zeeland, she was the daughter of the late Neil Pluister and June Applegate.
Ms. Vaughn was a graduate of Zeeland High School and Hope College. She had worked more than 25 years as an emergency dispatcher for Allegan County.
Ms. Vaughn was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and had served as treasurer for 20 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed scrapbooking. Above all else, Ms. Vaughn loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, BJ Vaughn, and Doug Vaughn and wife Michelle; a brother, Bob Pluister and wife Evon; sister-in-law, Romaine Stassin and husband Ron; grandchildren, Kelsey and Mike Cottingham and Taylor Vaughn; her great-grandson Mike Cottingham; and several nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Donald Pluister.
