Emily Marie Drapak, 90, of Douglas passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Holland Hospital. Born on Dec. 27, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of Joseph and Kathryn (Smollen) Stepnik.
Emily was preceded in death by her husband John Drapak and two sisters, Helen and Irene.
Surviving are her children, Joanne Gilliam of Douglas, Nancy Harvey of Fennville and John and Vicky Drapak of Douglas; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother Stanley Stepnik of Streamwood, Ill.; brother-in-law Joe Drapak of Chicago; and many nieces and nephews.
At her request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 12:30 p.m. at the Saugatuck Yacht Club, 15 Park St., Saugatuck, MI 49453. A luncheon will follow.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
