Daniel "Dan" Groh passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, following a valiant struggle against cancer. He was courageous and never lost his sense of humor.
He is survived by both his loving wife, Diane (Oetman/Harwood) Groh and his stepson, Jerid Harwood.
Dan was born in Detroit on April 13, 1950. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Frances Groh, as well as many aunts and uncles. His only surviving aunt is Charlotte (Groh/Cook) Brant.
He is also survived by five Groh brothers, Dennis (Carole), Douglas (Peggy), David (Sharon), Dale (Kim) and Dean; two nephews; six nieces; several great-nieces and -nephews; and two brothers-in-law, Ronald Oetman and David (Sandy) Oetman.
The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Thursday, May 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be Friday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A procession to Hudson Corners Cemetery will be for the burial immediately following the service.
