“You’ll never find another one like me” Truer words were never said. This is the title of Creg and Deb’s song to each other. Theirs is a love story 25 years in the making, enhanced only by their marriage in 2011.

Creg loved all things fast and loud. He often teased Deb that this was the reason he fell in love with her! Cars, boats, trucks, motorcycles, music and his Slingshot. Any kind of toy that kept him outside having fun.

If you knew Creg you knew he was an avid hunter and fisherman. “Don’t call me unless I’m out of the woods or done fishin’ ...” Yes dear ...

Creg’s love of the outdoors led him to create his own business, R&C Lawncare & Snowplowing. He built and ran this business for 30 years with the help of his wife Deb. She would like to assure all R&C customers their services will continue.

To know Creg was to love him. He went above and beyond in everything he did. He’d give you the shirt off his back. A better husband, father, grandfather, friend or relative cannot be found.

He was loving, kind and generous. His laugh was notorious and infectious. You would hear it loud and often. His smile would brighten the darkest room, and the sparkle in his eye begged you to play along. It was never a bad thing! He was one of a kind and a blessing to humanity.

Creg was born July 3, 1963 in Douglas and graduated from Saugatuck High School. He passed away suddenly in Holland Hospital on Nov. 19, 2020.

He is survived by his wife Deb, daughters Amanda Lawson and Ashley Graves, son Nicholas Graves, stepsons Jonny and Jeff LaChance and nine grandchildren. Also sisters Geraldine and Steven Halbert, Lavette and Rich Koening, Jewel and Jayne Graves; Brothers Brian and Michelle Graves and Bart and Brenda Callendar; stepmother Lois Graves. He was preceded in death by his father Ranny Graves.

There will never be another. Superman’s got nothin’ on you. We will treasure our memories of your kind and

loving heart, generous nature and playful soul.

We will remember your laugh and your smile and always believe you are “just one call away.”

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
