Martin Charles Blok, PhD (Doc Blok) of Allegan, passed away on November 2, 2020. He was born February 2, 1940, in Kalamazoo, the son of the late Rev. Martin Charles Blok and Freda (Withey) Blok. Martin had an incredible drive for learning, and it showed in his many degrees and a doctorate in Psychology. He served many communities during his career as a Psychologist and counselor with Summit Pointe. Martin cherished his relationships with family and friends and could be found at any of the local pubs in Allegan sharing stories and drinking wine. Another of his joys would be taking long drives in his convertible with the top down enjoying the sun. Martin will be missed dearly by his friends and family. He was such an intelligent person and the world is a little less bright without Martin around to tell us some jokes and make us laugh. Martin is survived by his daughter Kim, (Bruce) Campbell; his two grandchildren, Brandi (Tyler) James, and Hailey Campbell; and one great-grandson Kamden James. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and services will take place at a later time. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
